Catholic Schools Week 2026

Catholic Schools Week is a joyful, nationwide celebration of Catholic education and the many ways it forms hearts, minds, and communities. At St. Finn Barr Catholic School, this special week is a time to reflect on our shared mission, give thanks for our blessings, and come together in faith, fellowship, and fun.

Throughout this special week, students, families, alumni, parishioners, and friends are invited to participate in meaningful liturgies, campus events, and community celebrations that highlight the values at the heart of Catholic education - faith, service, academic excellence, and compassion for others.

We are excited to welcome our community to campus and share all that makes St. Finn Barr Catholic School a place where students are known, nurtured, and inspired.

Catholic Schools Week Schedule of Events

  • Sunday, January 25
    9:00 AM - Family Mass
    10:00–11:30 AM - Reception & Open House

Join us as we kick off Catholic Schools Week with Family Mass, followed by a reception and Open House. All are welcome to celebrate, tour our campus, and experience the spirit of St. Finn Barr.



  • Monday, January 26
    Friends of St. Finn Barr Day
    8:15 AM - Noon

Community members, parents, alumni, and friends visit classrooms to share their careers, passions, and life experiences with our students.



  • Tuesday, January 27
    Maker’s Faire
    Mass Pass Free Dress Day

Students showcase creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning during our Maker’s Faire while enjoying a special Free Dress Day (for all students who attended Family Mass). 



  • Wednesday, January 28
    Grandparents & Special Persons’ Day 
    10:00 AM Prayer Service & Reception to follow

We warmly welcome grandparents and special loved ones for a prayer service and reception celebrating the important role they play in our students’ lives.












  • Thursday, January 29
    Peace Parade
    1:15 PM

Our students take part in a joyful Peace Parade around the Sunnyside neighborhood, joined by the Riordan Marching Band, San Francisco Fire Department, and San Francisco Police Department - celebrating unity, gratitude, and community partnership.



  • Friday, January 30
    SFB Spirit Day
    Family Game Night

We wrap up the week with school spirit and an evening of fun and connection at Family Game Night!
