Altar Servers

Serving with Faith

Serving as an Altar Server is a special privilege and a meaningful way for students to deepen their faith while actively participating in the celebration of the Mass. Altar Servers assist the priest during the liturgy, helping to create a prayerful and reverent worship experience for our parish community.

Through this ministry, students develop a greater understanding of the Mass, grow in confidence and responsibility, and strengthen their relationship with Christ through service.

Who Can Become an Altar Server?

Students in 4th Grade and above who have received their First Holy Communion are invited to become Altar Servers and share their gifts through this meaningful ministry. Training is provided for all new servers, and experienced Altar Servers help mentor and support those as they learn the role. Altar serving is a wonderful opportunity to grow in faith, develop leadership and responsibility, and become more actively involved in the life of our parish community.

Whether serving at a regular weekend Mass, a school liturgy, or a special celebration, Altar Servers play an important role in the spiritual life of St. Finn Barr Parish and School.
