Volunteering

A Community Built on Service

Our families are at the heart of everything we do. The generosity of our parent and guardian volunteers strengthens our school community, enriches the student experience, and helps make many of our programs and traditions possible.

Whether you're assisting in the classroom, supporting a school event, coaching a sports team, serving on a committee, or lending your talents behind the scenes, every contribution helps create the vibrant, welcoming community that makes St. Finn Barr Catholic School so special.

Participating Family Committment

By agreeing to be a participating family, you understand that St. Finn Barr Catholic School relies on the active involvement of parents/guardians in events that enrich our school community and enhance our students' educational journey.

Each participating family is expected to contribute a total of 30 hours, with a minimum of 20 hours dedicated to volunteering and up to 10 hours available for contribution through monetary donations for the year

Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the school year to accommodate a variety of schedules, interests, and talents. Whether you have a few hours to spare or are able to take on a leadership role, there are many meaningful ways to get involved.

Safe Environment Requirements

The safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority. All volunteers and chaperones must:

  • Complete the Virtus online course, "Protecting God's Children 4.0" (which expires every three years) at www.virtus.org.
    AND
  •  Complete LiveScan on file with the school.

Important: Parents/guardians must complete the Virtus online training before getting fingerprinted. LiveScan fingerprints will not process correctly without an active Virtus account.
