16th Annual St. Finn Barr Walk-a-thon
Stride for Shamrocks
Join our Shamrock community as we walk, cheer, and fundraise for campus improvements and student programs! This is a mandatory fundraiser for participating families.
Date: Friday, November 21, 2025
Time: 1:15 PM - 2:45 PM
Location: St. Finn Barr campus and surrounding neighborhood
Fundraising Goal
- Each family is asked to raise $225 by the day of the Walk-a-thon.
- Special prizes will be awarded to the top earning classes!
How to Participate
Register Your Shamrock
Create your child’s personalized campaign page on BetterWorld using this LINK.
In the “Team” dropdown, select your child’s grade (e.g., Kindergarten, 1st grade, etc.).
Your child’s page will automatically appear on the greater SFB Walk-a-thon fundraising page, where we will track class standings.
Families with multiple children may create an individual page for each student, or a single family page. Please note that donations will be credited to whichever grade is selected.
Sign a Permission Slip
All students participating in the Walk-a-thon must have a signed permission slip on file by Friday, November 14th. Please fill out a permission slip at this LINK on time, so bibs can be created and organized by class for the big day! Please note that if you have multiple children at SFB, each student needs a permission slip.
Buy Out (in lieu of campaigning)
While we encourage families to set up personalized pages for community involvement, we know it’s not for everyone. Families not interested in campaigning must pay the $250 family buyout fee using this FORM by Friday, November 21, 2025 to be considered “participating.” After November 21st, the late buyout fee is $275.
☘️ Please note that your child can participate in the day-of event even if you chose to buyout. Just don’t forget to fill out a permission slip!

Spread the word with friends, family, and neighbors. Post on social media, send your child's personalized fundraising link by text or email, and encourage supporters to help you reach your $225 goal.
Reminders
This is a mandatory fundraiser.
All routes will be chaperoned by staff and volunteers.
Students should wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a refillable water bottle.
All students will need a signed permission slip to participate [Complete one permission slip per child by Friday, November 14th here].
