Our community integrates the Roman Catholic Faith and Gospel values in all aspects of the school.
Morning Assembly
St. Finn Barr School provides regular opportunities for the school community to experience prayer and the sacraments. Each school day begins with an assembly for morning prayer, including a student-lead reading reflection from the saints, scripture passages, and writings of religious people. During this assembly, we remember and pray for the community’s intentions (i.e. people devastated by natural calamities) before reciting the prayer of St. Francis together. The principal uses the morning assembly to help students center themselves in prayer each day.
Classroom Prayer
Occurs in the morning, before meals, and throughout the day. It provides students an opportunity to pray for their special intentions, emphasizing the opportunity to put their faith and trust in God. Classroom prayer corners and bulletin boards reflect students’ faith lives and emphasize the centrality of God in all we do.
