Lace up those sneakers, Shamrocks! Our annual St. Finn Barr Walk-a-thon is back, and we’re excited to get our entire school community moving together for a great cause!
More than just a fundraiser, the Walk-a-thon is a beloved school tradition that brings our students, families, and community together in support of St. Finn Barr Catholic School.
This year, we're walking toward a school-wide fundraising goal of:

Fundraise for SFB
The Walk-a-thon is one of our school's mandatory fundraisers for participating families, with a minimum fundraising goal of $250 per family.
Families can create personalized fundraising pages through BetterWorld to share with relatives, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to our $35,000 goal!

Important: When creating your student's page, please select their grade from the "Team" dropdown menu so donations count toward their class fundraising total. We'll have some friendly competition to see which class raises the most!

Walk-a-thon Buyout Option
Families who prefer not to fundraise may fulfill their Walk-a-thon requirement through the family buyout.
- Buyout Fee: $275 per family, due Friday, November 20, 2026
- Late Buyout Fee: $300 per family after November 20th

🍿 Class Challenge: Movie & Popcorn Party!
A little friendly competition makes our Walk-a-thon even more exciting!
The first THREE classes to reach 100% participation will win a special Movie & Popcorn Party in Goode Hall!
To qualify, every family in the class must complete the following:
- Fundraising: Set up a student fundraising page OR complete the family buyout.
- Permission Slips: Submit a completed Walk-a-thon permission slip for each student.

Walk-a-thon Day
Friday, November 20, 2026
10:00am - 11:45am, beginning in the school yard
Our Shamrocks will hit the course together for a fun-filled morning of walking, school spirit, and community pride! Students will begin in the school yard before making their way through the surrounding neighborhood.
Permission Slip Required
All students must have a completed permission slip in order to participate in the Walk-a-thon. Please submit a separate permission slip for each student.
