SFYBL Baseball provides student-athletes in Kindergarten through 8th Grade with the opportunity to learn, compete, and grow through the game of baseball. Whether players are picking up a glove for the first time or continuing to develop advanced skills, our program provides a fun, supportive, and team-oriented environment where every athlete can succeed.

St. Finn Barr teams compete in the San Francisco Youth Baseball League (SFYBL), one of the city's longest-running youth baseball programs. Players develop baseball fundamentals while learning teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship - all while proudly representing the Shamrocks.

Practice schedules and game times are determined by the SFYBL league and availability of coaching staff.

SFYBL Divisions

Division placement is determined by the SFYBL age eligibility guidelines for each season. In SFYBL, a player's "baseball age" is determined by their birth age on April 30th of the current season year (e.g. 2027).

Registration

Registration for SFYBL Baseball is completed in two simple steps. 

Step 1 - Register with St. Finn Barr Athletics

Complete the following:

  • SFYBL Baseball Registration Form
  • Athletics Program Notices
  • EMT Waiver
  • Emergency / Medical Form

Step 2 - Complete SFYBL Registration

After your St. Finn Barr Athletics registration has been received, the Athletic Director will email you with instructions for completing your league registration directly through SFYBL.

**Both registration steps must be completed before your athlete can be placed on a team roster.

Registration Fee

The St. Finn Barr Athletics Field Sports fee for the 2026–2027 school year is $275 per player.

Your athletics fee helps support:

  • League registration and fees
  • Equipment
  • Uniforms
  • Field rentals
  • Program operating expenses

Important Dates

  • Registration Opens: October 2026
  • Registration Deadline: November 2026
  • Practices Begin: Early March 2027
  • Spring Season Begins: March 2027

Dates are subject to change based on the SFYBL league schedule.
