American Sign Language
The teacher of ASL class is the head of language department in CCSF. The class is an interactive beginner ASL program for students to develop meaningful communicative discourse, learn, cultural, and social norms within Deaf communities, and become independent language learners.Student learning outcomes: identify and produce finger-spelled words and use ASL in elementary linguistic structures. Also examine historical factors that have contributed to Deaf culture.
