Our community is amazing! ☘️ We are so grateful for the support of our families and friends, and of course for the enthusiasm of our wonderful students who did so many laps around the Walk-a-thon course yesterday.

We have officially kicked off our first mandatory fundraiser of the school year - the 2023 Walk-a-Thon!
We hope you will consider supporting our fundraising campaign. *Each participating family has a minimum goal of raising $200, but the more contributions we raise the closer we will get to our goal of $30,000! All proceeds will help to fund curriculum updates and professional development.

Mark your calendars now! The Walk-a-Thon is on Friday, November 17, from 12–3 PM. It is a regular school day, so drop off and pick up remain the same. Students will enjoy a free dress day, so please come to school in your most stylish walking gear!
All fully participating families must participate in this mandatory fundraiser by submitting $200 in pledges by Friday, November 17 (the day of the event) or submitting a $225 buyout by Monday, November 27. There is a $25 fee for late buyouts, so act fast!
☘️ Families must set up a fundraising page for their student on our campaign platform by clicking HERE. Please refer to an email forthcoming from your Room Parent with instructions on setting up your fundraising page.
☘️ Once your page has been set up, friends and family can make a donation by selecting your name on our campaign homepage or you may share a direct link to your fundraising page!
Students planning to walk must submit a permission slip by Friday, November 10. Follow this link to submit your permission slip online. Submit one permission slip for each student you have at SFB.
Please get your permission slip in on time to ensure your walker(s) gets a special, personalized bib for the event.
Get your volunteer hours in! Many volunteer opportunities are available for event set-up, day-of-event, and event breakdown. There are lots of new volunteer opportunities available! Take the lead at an activity table or donate art supplies and outdoor games.

St. Finn Barr School families unable to participate must pay the $225 family buyout fee by November 27, 2023 to be considered “participating”.

Pre-order a shamrock snack bag for $7 using this Google Form. The bag will include a bottle of water, chips, fruit, a granola bar, and fruit snacks. The cutoff to order is Monday, November 13. We will have limited quantities for sale on the day of the event.
☘️ Important: This event takes place on a school day. If you plan to leave school grounds with your child(ren) before dismissal, please see Mrs. LaChon in the office and officially sign your child(ren) out.
